ZTerm is a well known terminal emulation program thats been around for years, updated for Intel Macs. It supports VT100 emulation, which means it sorta kinda works with Meridian Mail (Function keys on a MacBook: fn + f-key). To configure ZTerm, open Settings Modem Preferences and select your USB-Serial device as the default modem (Serial Port). I'm having the exact same issue with the same symptoms (and have tried the same steps to 'fix' the problem). Did you find any resolution? The DigiCDC CDCLED program works with the Arduino Serial Monitor with a Mac OS X 10.8 machine I have sitting around, but does not work on my 10.11.3 machine (although I have no issues programming it). Windows Terminal is a new, modern, feature-rich, productive terminal application for command-line users. It includes many of the features most frequently requested by the Windows command-line community including support for tabs, rich text, globalization, configurability, theming & styling, and more.

Hi all, Serial
My Huzzah ESP8266 breakout board seems to be busy and won't talk to me. Using CoolTerm, which I've used successfully for weeks, I get 'An Error Occurred while attempting to open the port - 100: Access Denied.'
In Terminal (Mac OSX) ls /dev/tty.* reveals the port, but I can't use screen in Terminal to communicate either.
I've rebooted the board, disconnected/reconnected the serial connection and even tried to reflash the board with the latest firmware. An attempt to reflash the board, which I've done a couple times updating to the latest firmware) returns '[Errno 16] Resource busy' in Terminal. A quick search here hasn't turned up a ready answer to the issue. I'm rather new to working with embedded software/hardware and suspect the problem may be an easy fix, but haven't had any luck so far. Any help re-opening communication with what appears to be a hung board would be appreciated!

Use this OS X package to make the Airconsole serial port appear as a virtual COM port visible in OS X. The virtual COM port can then be directly connected to from OS X terminal programs (such as Macwise, Screen, Zterm etc) as if it was a directly attached serial port.

Note: drivers are only required if you require COM port emulation for Bluetooth LE and/or WiFi connections. Bluetooth EDR connections do not require drivers (for Airconsoles that support Bluetooth EDR).
